Nicki Minaj at White House: Trump's "So Beautiful" Comment Goes Viral

“Her Skin So Beautiful”: Trump Praises Nicki Minaj at White House Black History Month Reception

WASHINGTON, D.C. â€“ The friendship no one saw coming just got another chapter.

President Donald Trump praised rap superstar Nicki Minaj during the White House Black History Month reception on Wednesday, revisiting their recent meeting at the Trump Accounts Summit and highlighting his admiration for the rapper in characteristically colorful terms.

“I love Nicki Minaj. She was here a couple of weeks ago. So beautiful. Her skin so beautiful,” Trump told the audience at the event.

The president, who has previously commented on Minaj’s distinctive style, added: “Her nails, her nails, they’re like that long. I said, ‘Nicki, are they real?’ She said she didn’t want to get into that, but she was so beautiful and so great.”

Nicki Minaj & Trump: A Growing Alliance

The White House appearance is just the latest chapter in what has become an increasingly public—and politically significant—friendship between the 45th (and current) president and the “Super Bass” rapper.

Earlier this year, Trump was pictured walking hand-in-hand with Minaj at the Trump Accounts Summit. During that appearance, he said, “I am going to let my nails grow because I love those nails,” and referred to her as “the greatest and most successful female rapper in history.”

From hand-holding to AI pink outfits: Trump calls Nicki Minaj "so beautiful" at White House Black History event.

Minaj marked Presidents Day just days ago by sharing AI-generated images of herself and Mr. President wearing coordinated pink outfits. “Happy Presidents Day,” she captioned the post, which quickly gained traction on social media and sent the Barbz into a frenzy.

From Music to Politics

Speculation around Minaj’s political stance has intensified in recent months as her ties to the Trump administration have grown. The rapper, who has historically avoided straightforward political endorsements, appears to be embracing a role that blends pop culture with conservative politics.

In November 2025, she addressed a United Nations conference, speaking about what she characterized as the persecution of Christians in Nigeria and thanking Trump for “his leadership on the global stage.”

In December, Minaj appeared at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest, where she spoke with Erika Kirk (widow of Charlie Kirk), expressing her “utmost respect” for the commander in chief.

Then came late January: the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C., where she declared she is “the president’s No. 1 fan” and that it is “not going to change.” She was also photographed briefly holding hands with the president—an image that dominated headlines for days.

The Internet Reacts

As with everything involving Minaj and Trump, reactions have been polarized.

Fans (the Barbz) have largely rallied behind their queen, praising her for breaking boundaries and moving freely between worlds. Critics, however, have questioned the alliance, pointing to Trump’s past controversial statements about race and women.

Minaj, true to form, hasn’t addressed the backlash directly. Instead, she lets the images—and the president’s words—speak for themselves.

What’s Next?

With Black History Month ongoing and a presidential election cycle heating up, the Minaj-Trump connection shows no signs of cooling. Whether this leads to formal endorsements, campaign appearances, or simply more AI-generated pink outfits remains to be seen.

One thing is certain: when Minaj walks into a room—even the White House—all eyes are on her. And her nails. Fans can keep up with Minaj’s latest music and tour dates on her official website .
